I have certainly done the commuting thing and it is something that if you've done it, then you know how terrible it can be. I have a lot of stories though from the 2003 blackout which happened pretty much right when I had first got my feet under me in New York. I wish I had written down what happened that day at the time because it could be such a great element for so many stories. It was such an otherworldly day.
